It has been a few months of silence on my end, I even went as far as to delete the Facebook and Instagram apps off my phone. I’m really enjoying being “off-the-grid”, even though I’m working a job and socialize a lot too.
My new project is ready: “The Promise of Christmas”. A tune to follow the tradition of writing a song every December. It’s out today, on most music platforms. Just like usual, type in the name of the song and my full name, and you should find it! This song is about the hope that Christmas brings, but of course nothing is worth it without having love in your life, be it romantic or platonic – love is love.
I will take this time to wish you a good holiday period. Try not to get too caught up in gift buying or spending money just to impress, but focus instead on the impression of having quality time with those you love. I know the holidays can be tough for various reasons – pressure, distance, stress, and overall family issues. However, it’s always a blessing to even be able to be near those who love you.
This holiday season I will be in Bulgaria visiting my sister, but my parents will be on the other side of the world. I miss them, as well as all of my friends. I just want you all to know that I am really starting to build a life here, in Vienna, and it’s going well. There are difficulties, but I’m learning so much about negotiating, contracts, management and leadership. I’ve also made my own little family here, and I’m so happy to meet such wonderful and caring people.
I’m really excited to see what this new leap year brings, whether it’s further challenges to prove that I can achieve anything, or just little Easter eggs that I make sure to enjoy. Either way, I’m grateful to be still living in this beautiful world, enjoying every day as much as possible.
I encourage all of you to reflect of your favourite memories of the year, and realise how far you’ve come since January. You are definitely not the person you were then, what changed? What marked your year? Those who want to, please share with me! Especially if you have any memories with me, although I spent little time back home.
Some of my favourite memories have been travelling to the mountains with my family, singing in the Philharmonic choir and travelling to India!
Happy New Year and all the best!
Yours truly,
Nastia
