it’s official…
I’m on my way to Europe!

I am currently sitting in the Ottawa airport, after a mere 4 hours (which was planned) of sleep.
I am feeling a wide array of emotions, mostly excitement, with a pinch of fear, as I have no idea what is coming. Regardless of the pandemic, this is a really big step in my life, but I believe I am ready and meant to do this.
For those of you who know me well, you know that I have been dreaming of starting a life in Europe as soon as I got the chance. Well, now that I have officially graduated from University, it only makes sense to buy a one-way ticket across the pond with absolutely no plans once I get there, right?
I can say I have been feeling quite nervous ever since I bought my plane ticket, but I also believe the hard choices in life are usually the ones that are good for you. The past few months, I have made immensely strong and founded friendships, I have met incredible people, and have discovered so much about myself as a person. As much as all of these things have made it really tempting to stay, I also know that my calling is not here, and that leaving this country is
something I need to do.
Here I am, a (perhaps naive) 21-year-old girl who is full of life and hope and wants to follow her dreams, unapologetically.
I don’t want to die with any regrets, and most regrets are based on NOT doing things, so I can’t be that wrong in my decision.
I am starting this blog in order to share my journey with you, and hopefully encourage and inspire you to do the same. I believe everyone needs to travel at least once in their lifetime to truly experience what is out in the world, and to be sure that the decisions you make for your life are well-founded and based on a wide array of possibilities.
I am going to write updates here weekly, both through text and video vlogs, so stay tuned for what is coming! I will give you an inside scoop on what travelling is like during the pandemic, as a young woman, and with not too much money! It will be a surprise to us all.
Proposed Itinerary:
Sofia May 15-June 2nd
Malta June 2nd-June 26th
And then I have no idea!
Thank you for your support!
Yours Truly,
Nastia
PS: wish me luck on my 9-hour flight to Istanbul!
