Yep. It’s true. Although definitely not as glorious as it sounds. Let me start from the beginning. As you know, I planned to move to …
I’ll go into some big life updates, reflect on the past month and how my goals are going (compared to January ambitions), as well as a comparison of lessons I learned last year compared to this year.
We often hear people say “live in the moment” and “be present”, which essentially are incomprehensible clichés that we shrug off if we don’t manage to follow them. However, it is through this non-dualistic philosophy that I started to understand how to interpret these phrases.
Self-development can seem overwhelming at first, especially if all you see are successful people on your feeds. They make it look so easy, right? Well, in a way, it actually is. Let me show you.
This thirst for Vienna never disappeared. It only grew. And a big part of this drive pushed me towards coming back to Europe last year. In fact, the plan was to travel for a few months and eventually settle in Vienna.
One of the things I learned throughout these two months was how much I truly enjoyed volunteering and how much I disliked getting a salary. I know this sounds crazy, but hear me out.
The thing I will remember the most is how Chris Martin found a Ukrainian busker in Warsaw and invited him to play at the concert. It was a beautiful moment, and reminded me how lucky I am to live in a country where the sky is clear, and my family is safe. These things I will forever hold as a privilege.
This month marks exactly one year since I set off on my adventure of a lifetime. It has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride. So much has happened, so many people I’ve met, and so many lessons I’ve learned.
Contrarily to last week, I have stopped really making lists of what needs to be done each week. I decided instead to focus more on journaling and staying in touch with my thoughts and emotions. This alone has allowed me to properly prioritize and get things done around the house.
